Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (1940-1945 & 1951-1955)
Cometh the hour, cometh the man, as the saying has it. And in Winston Churchill the saying found its definition.
Churchill was, arguably, the ultimate and consummate inspirational and motivational speaker.
He was definitely the right man, in the right place, at the right time - so most people think, anyway - and his oratorical skills, which he worked hard to develop and perfect, proved crucial and invaluable in inspiring and motivating the British people to persevere through some of their darkest days.
